Practical Guidelines for Biosafety for Modern Biotechnology or Genetic Engineering (Intensive Course)
The “Practical Guidelines for Biosafety for Modern Biotechnology or Genetic Engineering (Intensive Course)” has been designed to boost the work safety of operation personnel, the environment, and the surrounding community. It also aims to prepare the Institutional Biosafety Committee, work units, and related personnel to manage, regulate, as well as certify the safety of biosafety operations at the operational level both safely and effectively.
Objectives
- To inform the Institutional Biosafety Committee, operational level units, and related personnel of the laws, regulations, guidelines, and practical steps related to biosafety operations.
- To prepare the Institutional Biosafety Committee, operational level units, and related personnel to manage biosafety-related research projects and carry out operations safely.
Target Group:
      - The Institutional Biosafety Committee and operational level units at Mahidol University
      - Personnel who work with pathogens, animal toxins, GMOs and insect vectors
Training Format:
      Lecture-based and practice
Training Duration:
      Two days (12 hours)
